Applicants for the Designer position shall have a minimum of 4 years experience
working as a Designer in a civil engineering firm. Senior Designer applicants
must have an additional 2 years experience supervising draft person. All applicants
should have experience using AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop software
and shall have analytical skills that demonstrate the ability to set a design
schedule. Registration as a professional engineer is a plus.
Duties include design and layout in a cad environment grading plans,
street and storm drain plans, water and sewer plans, wall plans and various
exhibits. In addition, a designer must effectively coordinate with government
agencies, utility companies, surveyors, and contractors. A designer reports to
a Project Manager and assists the Project Manager with clients service issues,
scheduling, of work, and quality control.
